Person 1
We are gathered this morning in the name of the One
Who created everything and everyone,
Who brings forth light out of darkness
And life from death.
Person 2
We are gathered this morning in the name of the One
Who has blessed us with gifts and talents and has appointed us
stewards of the earth.
Person 1
We come to God knowing that life poses risks,
Whether we go out and invest our talents
Or whether we play it safe.
Person 2
We come to God knowing that faith will lead us to let go
Of our possessions and all that we cling to out of fear
To receive the freedom of the children of God.
Person 1:
We come to God offering our lives as a living sacrifice,
In exchange for something far greater.
Person 1
May God give us the courage to live in this world
With a sense of hope and victory.
God will multiply our gifts.
And will make a return on our love.
