Joy of the Lord

Person 1: 

The joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)

In the midst of crisis, in the midst of sea changes in our society, we remember the strength and joy we receive from above, from within, from the one who gave us life.

Yes, the joy of the Lord is our strength!

We resist the temptation to listen to every bad news available on the world wide net. We are not becoming cynical or indifferent about the state of affairs. Instead…

 

Person 1:

We are basking in the sun of God’s grace, knowing that the shadows are part of life, but not the whole truth. We are looking up to the master of life.

 

Person 2:

We repent from our tendency to judge or blame others or self-pity or hiding our light out of fear.

 

Person 1:

Let the joy of the Lord set you free!

 

Person 2:

The joy of the Lord is our strength!
