The Quote:

“Being strong doesn’t always mean you have to fight the battle. True strength is being adult enough to walk away from the non-sense with your head held high.” – Unknown

Wisdom from Scripture:

Proverbs 18:2

“Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.”

Romans 14: 1-4

“Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.”

Comment: I think most of us have encountered “non-sense” in religious matters, when suddenly differences in opinion over certain matters split a community. Sometimes the matters are small and the discussion is heated. Sometimes the matters are big but people are unable to hear each other. Lord, help us to be wise!

Prayer:  Lord God, give us wisdom and the ability to discern when to speak and when to listen, when to accept and when to challenge, when to fight and when to walk away. Guide us by your Holy Spirit! Amen.
