Call to Worship

L: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen.

L: We praise you O Lord for the seeds that give birth to life,
for Your holy Word that makes us new.
C: May our souls be fertile ground for the Word of God!

L: The distractions of the day, the manifold obligations of life,
they choke us sometimes.
C: May our souls find the strength to avoid what makes us ill.

L: The quick answers, the fast rewards, they pretend to be the real thing, but they don’t
grow roots.
C: May our souls develop roots deep into holy ground.

L: Lord, let us find the good soil in us!
C: By the grace of God, we will grow and bear fruit. Amen.
