Let Love Be Genuine

L: Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let us gather to worship our Lord.
C: Amen.
L: Let us set our minds on the right things. Which is the greatest of all spiritual gifts?
C: It is love.

P: The Apostle Paul said, “Let Love be genuine!”
C: Not fake, not lukewarm, not a mere attempt at friendliness.

P: Jesus asked his followers to love one another as he had loved them.
C: All the way to the cross, through abandonment and disappointment, our Lord never lost faith in his people.

P: St. John said, “God is love.”
C: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

P: Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
C: Let love be genuine! Amen.
