Call to Worship

L: The spirit of God calls us from many places;
Some of us come from busy homes with many people
Some of us live alone, yet…
C: We are all part of a family.

L: This week has been different for each of us;
Some of us have had happy news we want to celebrate;
Some of us have faced grief and the need to cry, yet…
C: We are all members of God’s household.

L: We come to this holy house;
All of us seeking God’s presence in our lives,
Community and a deeper purpose, because…
C: Together we are a community of faith.

L: We gather to worship the Lord,
Who knows us intimately,
loves us unconditionally,
teaches us through Word and Spirit,
and comforts us in times of need.
C: Amen.
