Bread of Life

Call to Worship

P: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen.

P: Our Lord, when he was led by the spirit into the wilderness, reminded us all of our need for spiritual bread:
C: Man does not live from bread alone, but from every word that comes out of the mouth of God.

P: Our Lord, when he was saw that people who were hungry for the gospel followed him, forgetting their own need for nourishment, reminded us of our responsibility to share food and wealth. When we encounter people in need, he says to us:
C: There is no need for them to go away. You give them something to eat!

P: Our Lord was also eager to help people understand that he provides in all aspects of life. He said:
C: I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

P: Come, receive the Bread of Life, this morning and forevermore.
C: Amen.
